Your health is an essential part of your success at Tufts University. Whether you need care for a short-term illness, support managing a chronic condition, or access to specialized resources, we’re here to help. This page outlines the medical services available to all in-person students on the Boston Health Sciences campus––including in-person care, telehealth options, and additional health-related support.
The Boston Health Sciences campus includes:
- School of Dental Medicine
- School of Medicine
- Public Health Professional Degree Programs
- Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy
- Tufts Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
Medical Care
These services are for students studying in-person on the Boston Health Sciences campus only. Remote and hybrid students are not eligible.
Collegiate Center for Wellness (CCW)
Tufts Medical Center’s Collegiate Center for Wellness offers in-person, matriculated students on the Boston Health Sciences campus convenient access to medical care. While not a replacement for a primary care provider, the CCW can address a wide range of health needs and help connect students to specialized care when needed.
Services include:
- General medical care (e.g., flu, COVID-19, minor illnesses)
- Reproductive health counseling and support
- Limited chronic condition management
- Referrals to specialists
- Telehealth appointments
Location: Floating Building, 3rd Floor (near the elevator bank)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Appointments: Call 617-636-6006 and select option #2 for Tufts University
Most appointments are available same-day or within one business day.
After-Hours Medical Support
If you need medical assistance outside of regular hours:
- Non-emergency medical: Call 617-636-2750 and follow prompts for the on-call nurse
- Emergency: Call 911 or 617-627-6911 (on-campus)
Coming Soon: On-Campus Health Clinic
We’re excited to announce that a new on-campus health clinic is currently in development. Once completed, this clinic will provide expanded access to medical services right on the Boston Health Sciences campus.
Planned services include:
- Walk-in care for minor illnesses and injuries
- Preventive care and screenings
- Immunizations and health education
- Coordination with existing Tufts Medical Center services
More information, including location, hours, and appointment scheduling, will be shared as the clinic nears completion.
Substance Abuse Treatment & Recovery
If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use, there are confidential resources available to help you access treatment and support.

Sexual Misconduct Support & Prevention
Tufts is committed to fostering a safe and respectful environment. Students impacted by sexual misconduct can access confidential support, guidance, and resources through the Center for Awareness, Resources, and Education (CARE).
CARE Services include:
- Emotional support and trauma-informed care
- Academic flexibility and accommodations
- Guidance on reporting options
- Accompaniment to appointments
- Prevention education and training
