Talk One2One Student Assistance Program

Confidential, short-term counseling is available to all matriculated in-person, remote, and hybrid Boston Health Sciences students—at no cost. Appointments are available in-person, by phone, and virtually. This service is ideal for short-term support and is not a replacement for ongoing therapy or psychiatric care.

How to Reach a Counselor (Talk One2One)

1. 24/7 Immediate Support
Call 1-800-756-3124 any time, day or night, to speak with a licensed counselor for in-the-moment support.

2. Schedule an Appointment (Non-Emergency)
Email tuftscounseling@allonehealth.com to request an in-person or virtual appointment. You’ll receive a reply within 24 business hours to confirm your availability and schedule your session. This is a secure and confidential email service.

3. Off-Campus Options
Appointments are also available at locations near where you live or your clinical site.

Psychiatry Services

Psychiatric care includes evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and crisis support.

Who Can Access Services

  • Boston campus: Full-time, in-person students have access to both in-person and virtual psychiatric services.
  • Maine & Grafton campuses: Students have full access to services virtually, including behavioral health and counseling.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

  • In-person appointments available 3 days per week (days vary)
  • Virtual appointments available 5 days per week
  • Closed on weekends and Tufts University holidays

How to Schedule a Non-Emergency Appointment

  1. Call: 617-636-2750 (Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.)
  2. Email: Boston Student Health Services
  3. Complete Intake Form: A secure, HIPAA-compliant form will be sent after initial contact.
    • A staff member will follow up within 2 business days.
    • Appointments are typically available within 1–2 weeks.

Ralph Eugene

Ralph Eugene brings over a decade of experience in patient-centered psychiatric care. He has worked in both hospital and outpatient settings, including CharterCARE Health Partners and Optum Behavioral Care. Ralph holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Drexel University and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Wilkes University.

Services Provided:

  • Psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis
  • Medication management
  • Crisis support and consultation
  • In-person and virtual appointments for Boston students
  • Virtual services for students in Maine and on the Grafton campus

Virginia Ndoro

Virginia Ndoro has over 20 years of experience in crisis and outpatient mental health care. She holds degrees in Anthropology and Nursing and earned her MSN and Psychiatry Post-Graduate Certification from Regis College. Her clinical interests include holistic treatment approaches and the integration of self-care and psychotherapy.

Services Provided:

  • Virtual psychiatric care for Boston and Maine-based students
  • Diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD
  • Medication management and holistic care planning

Julie Thayer

Dr. Julie Thayer is a licensed psychologist with deep expertise in trauma-informed care, anxiety treatment, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She earned her doctorate from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in complex trauma.

Services Provided:

  • Virtual counseling for Boston Health Sciences students
  • Individual and couples therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Crisis intervention and longer-term treatment

Samantha Ladd

Samantha Ladd graduated from Colby College in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then went on to achieve her doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD) from William James College in 2024. Sam has experience working across a variety of levels of care, with extensive training in crisis work and high acuity settings. Sam brings a warm and human approach to therapy.  She utilizes an integrative theoretical model for therapy in which she combines aspects of DBT, CBT, ACT, mindfulness and expressive therapies to meet the unique needs of each individual student. She is available to support students for acute crisis interventions, brief and long term therapy, as well as psychoeducation and outreach.
